Meet Nicole Charles, a life/style blogger, self-described "infertility warrior," and mom of four from Middletown, Connecticut. She and her husband have four beautiful children: Declan (4), Kensie (4), Greyson (5), and Teagan (5 months). Three of four of her kids were born via gestational surrogacy.
Nicole was recently featured on WFSB Eyewitness News for their Better Baby Week segment, where she shared her surrogacy story. Our Founder & Legal Director, Victoria T. Ferrara was brought in to share her industry expertise, explaining the importance of legal services in the surrogacy journey.
At 27, Nicole and her husband were trying to grow their family, but their efforts were unsuccessful. After a year,Nicole made an appointment at the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services. They tried IVF for a year to no avail.
Eventually, her doctor diagnosed her with "unexplained infertility" and suggested that she look into gestational surrogacy.
After two successful surrogacy journeys, she gained what she refers to as "a whole new perspective on what it means to be a woman."
"Seeing other women that are mothers, and the fact that they want to give the gift of motherhood to someone else because it's meant so much to them, and then watching them with their own kids...you just know in your heart that they're going to carry these babies like they're their own," Nicole says. "It was a huge gift that I think about every single day."
